I could use that little bit of extra cash to go toward my next set of books, but I'm not gonna regret selling my old casebooks for some reason in 2 years, am I?

not really any reason to hang on to them (maybe Hart & Wechsler or something but really, you don't need any of them)

If you aren't buying used and selling them immediately after, you are going about this whole law school thing wrong. Sell them all!

Only exception is if your school is like mine was where 1L con law is powers and limitations and Con Law 2 is an upper level requirement for rights. Then, be sure you're not going to take Con Law 2 from someone requiring the same casebook before you sell it off.

Does keeping textbooks stacked as door props throughout my home count as building a personal lawbrary?

Sell them back as early as possible because the longer you wait the less you get (or at least at my school that's how it was).

The book/door prop thing is a semi-random distribution, spines sometimes face out, but not consistently.

Civ pro gave me nightmares, I might as well use it to fend them off as well? I like the logic there.

Save all of the nonreturnable books and host a graduation bonfire for your friends.

Be careful.
Bad writing in sufficent enough quantities may turn toxic when burned.

When civilization falls and the internet dies, aren't you going to feel like a bunch of dumb unprepared bastards when you have no idea about the 17th century antecedents to modern Property concepts?
Also, some professors work VERY hard making minor case law updates to the book they wrote 20 years ago! Be more respectful.

I used my giant Con Law I book as an impromptu jack once when I had a flat tire and my normal jack wouldn't fit under the car. Drove up on it and was able to get the jack underneath.

You can also kill small pests with them. And sometimes even larger pests with the bigger books. I threw my property book at a mouse, once.
