I have read most of LEEWS (the arrogance wears me out) and I have a Barbri "Guide to Law School Success" book that teaches how to write an exam well.

Which approach is better?

Thanks

LEEWS is good. Didn't really like BARBRI. Also, read Getting to Maybe.

LEEWS is just alright. Never touched BARBRI. Getting to Maybe is the credited answer.

You can do LEEWS to get an overview but don't worry about trying to exactly replicate their test taking strategy. All law exams really are, are you making arguments back and forth using facts and the law as the backdrop. Most times speed will be what is most important.

I did LEEWS and read some E & Es. Most people wouldn't recommend reading E & Es before law school, but I thought it gave me a nice overview of the topic so I knew what the professors were talking about right away and things came easier to me. I did pretty well first year, but who knows if I was going to do well regardless or not.

LEEWs was helpful but so god damn time consuming. His strategy is unnecessarily rigid, in my opinion, but he does give some helpful pointers and other things to keep in mind. Learn what you can from it and practice his strategies a little bit, but don't be afraid to find out what works for you.

Never did any, did great. When you start law school you can worry about exams.
