Am I screwed?

Just got 1L GPA/Rank today - 3.388 (123/347 = 35.4%) at Brooklyn Law. Am I totally screwed for OCI? What should I do to help expand my employment opportunities. I initially wanted Big Law but looks like that may be out of the question. I have no interest in working for the gov't or public interest.

3.3 is that low? I got a 3.24 and its top 50 percent of the class at a T30

OCI is unlikely to result in anything for you unless you're a URM, and even then you may only get one or two interviews that you'd have to make the most of.
obviously you should bid anyway, but be somewhat sensible about it. however, the majority of your focus and effort should be on networking and finding internships for the academic year that you can turn into employment.

Dude, you're a 1L....so your GPA at this point doesn't matter. Just focus on getting better grades so you can score a 2L summer job.

Your 1L grades are what get you the 2L summer job, though.

Brooklyn has OCI? Is it like 10 firms interviewing the top 2%?
