OL question to Law Students: How do you format your exam?

As an OL, I just wanted to ask current law students how they format their exam essay. How is it organized? Did you use IRAC? How did you handle the issues? And, do you have to explicit say in the essay " hey prof, here's the issue" or would they pick up on more subtle exposition of issue spotting?

Being organized and good writing are more important than people think. I'll list out the issue [Murder of X]. In the text below, I'll spot the issue and analyze it. Sometimes IRAC lends itself well, sometimes it does not.

Edit: most professors will either give checks or a raw score. You will get points for spotting the issue and your analysis of it (applying cases, statutes, etc). You don't need to spell out everything, but clarity is good.

Also for future reference: it is 0L (as in the number, not the letter).
