Hi everyone!

I am currently deciding what to do for my dissertation/independent research project for my law degree I know I want to do write about something to do with pro government Bias and Propaganda in certain news outlets (I was thinking namely the BBC?) but does anyone have any suggestions with how I can link that in with an area of law? I cannot think of a title for the project!

Maybe from like a legislating perspective, the effect of news bias on the passage of laws? That's tough, but I would think focusing on legislation would be a good route since it's definitely influenced by public sentiment and is...well...law haha

You could explore the influence that Government is exerting on news outlets (media) to support or promulgate their pro-Government "bias" or "propaganda" and how it fits with Freedom of Speech/Press etc. Taking this further, you could see how Western countries handle such issues differently, i.e., Denmark has traditionally been known to have broad and high standards of freedom of speech that wouldn't exactly be mirrored here in the US.

As for a title.. I enjoy witty things and plays on words or phrases. Maybe a title that is "overtly propaganda" and becomes satirical. First thing, and obviously shitty, off the top of my head is: "Whose Line is it Anyways?: Impact of Government Influence on Media."

With a colon. Definitely use a colon.

Seriously, dissertation titles mean so little in themselves, their just meat for word search grinders.
