Has anyone done a standy for the MPRE?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has done a standby for the MPRE at Pace University (or another test location in NY). I'm registered for the March 29th MPRE, but at a test center that is prohibitively far away. I called MPRE and they told me that standing by is possible, although (obviously) no guarantee that I'll get a spot.
I'd appreciate hearing your experience if you've done something similar. Thanks!
