Anyways, the point is, has anybody else here made a mistake on their application and had to fix it? If so, what did you have to do. I plan to call them tomorrow, but I am hopinig this isn't a huge deal.
It shouldn't be a huge deal, but you may have to pay a late fee because your application wasn't technically complete or some bullshit like that.
Call the NY Bar, and ask how you can amend your application.

I wonder what would have happened if you didn't notice.
Nothing, right? Literally, and certainly, nothing...right?

Until something happens. My state's bar probably would view the correction along the lines of "no worries, mistakes happen," but they'd probably view the lack of correction as "what are you hiding? We need to investigate for misconduct. And no we don't care that you forgot about it, as that sounds like you're lying."
