C & F for illegally downloading files?

So this is a potentially really dumb question, but fellow law students have psyched me out about it: if I've torrented movies/music/shows/etc. while in law school, is that a concern for the ABA c&f section?

Not unless you've been sued for it. Are you also going to disclose that you logged into your friend's facebook page once to post a "haha hacked" status, which might technically be a violation of federal law? What about your jaywalking habits? Nah.

Haha ok thanks, that makes sense. I mean, that's what I thought, but a bunch of people were saying how they'd know etc. etc. and I guess I got paranoid. (I haven't gotten caught or sued, if those weren't rhetorical.)

Did you ask them *how* they would know?
Also, maybe you should just stop ripping digital media so you don't have to worry about it.

If I learned anything in my Evidence class, it's that they can ask you about it, but if you deny it, they can't prove it with extrinsic evidence.

they can monitor the tracker. Unless you have a seedbox anyways

I got DMCA letter pwned at school. C&F didn't even make me have a sitdown meeting with them.
