Does anyone else get frustrated with K-JDs? I feel the majority of K-JDs have never really shed the "highschool" mentality.
Just some ramblings. Back to studying!

K-JDs don't get jobs. You'll have the last laugh OP. They are like lambs being led to the slaughter.

Glad I'm not the only one that gets frustrated by them. Its not that I am "cooler" than anyone really, its that their mentality makes it feel like I'm in grade school rather than law school. It kind of cheapens the whole experience if that makes any sense...not too much, but enough to be noticeable.

This thread is some short bus level shit. Pre-school short bus level, even.
I'll just assume it's a solid flame, though.

Do you answer questions by prefacing you answer with "As a [insert irrelevant work experience here]"? Gotta let those K-JDs know about your prestttigious background, amirite?
Or "As a [insert completely useless Master's Degree here]"
I'm thinking Medieval English Literature?

Yeah, but I took the long road with changing majors multiple times.

There's a reason big lawfirms essentially only hire lawyers right out of school
no one cares about your past WE, deal with it

Biglaw hires right out of school because the 2L OCI/summer/start after 3L system is convenient. That has nothing to do with whether they care about professional WE (hint: they do).

ITT K-JDs act butthurt.
Seriously, the truth is somewhere between. Work experience is looked at positively by employers, period. May be a small bump at the margins but if your top 5% and a K-JD, yes, you are going to get a job.

If your WE was that great you shouldn't have gone to law school.

If you are talking to me, it wasn't "great." It's just useful to have done something. Employers wouldn't uniformly comment on it as a positive if it weren't. It's simply demented to think it's not positive. K-JDs do get jobs. Grades are paramount. They are pretty much the alpha and omega of getting in the door. But, again, to ignore its value is just you not getting it.
