Top Law Schools

What do ya'll think is the hardest 1L class. I realize this is subjective, but I can't help but think there must be an hierarchy. For me, unexpectedly, it's Crim Law, but I think taht's because my learning style doesn't mesh with my prof's teaching style.

Torts is also a bitch. As the semester goes on it's just getting more and more complicated and overwhelming.

Contracts and Civ Pro are my jam, though.

Many people think Torts is the easiest class. I would say Property is the hardest.

Law school isn't difficult. Competing with your peers in a game where the rules aren't properly explained to you is difficult.

It's pretty difficult to me so far.
Contracts seems pretty difficult so far.
Maybe it's because of my professor....

Just stop trying to work out the mystery. There isn't one. There's very little deep thinking in law school.

this is a professor-dependent issue. For me, this meant torts was easy and Ks a real bitch. But switch those professors and I bet it would've been the other way around.

From the beginning of time, the answer is almost always Civil Procedure (unless you got a great professor).

I like technical rules, which probably explains why I love civ pro and find torts a bit painful.

Totally an individual question. Depends on the person, the professor, and the other people in the class.

Many law schools don't do Admin 1L.

For me, it's been LRW by miles. The sheer workload has kept me perpetually sleep deprived and pushed me underwater in my reading several times. I also got partnered up with my section's gunner for the current memo project.

I would say Torts. In full disclosure, I am more into technical rules person, and hence, like civil procedure the most.

Admin for me personally because my professor was garbage and the class makes no fucking sense

This, so much this. I just need someone to tell me how I'm doing. It sounds pathetic but its true.

How you do on a specific type of a test is a better predictor than your peers and the material. If you're quick witted or a slow thinking intellectual much of your fate is already written. Don't worry what other people do. If you write a really good exam, you aren't going to get a B. The hardest thing to do is focus on big picture application, and not memorizing tiny crap, but this is everything.

CivPro. She expects so much work from us, but it won't help me on the exam, so I don't do it. LRW is so lame. The professors are cool, but the class is a waste so I don't pay attention. When I finally do look up at the board, I'm lost.

I've found Torts and Property pretty straight forward.

Of course I have no idea how I'm actually doing and won't know until December :/

my prof. in torts is horrible and i tune out in that class. one of the worst professors i've ever had. crim law is a close second. makes me not want to attend those classes, but also terribly worried about what to expect on the tests.

Read Freer's Civil Procedure supp. My professor didn't teach us anything about civil procedure. It has everything you need to know, laid out logically and clearly, and is more than enough ammo for you to book that class.
