Current edition E&E vs. not current E&E Forum

They look solid for getting used to applying these laws I'm learning, so I figure I'll pick some up.

I don't want to pay for a current edition if I don't have to ($0.01+shipping vs. ~$30), so is the law changing all the time in any of these classes I'm taking this semester?

~~Civ pro (I've heard that you should go current with this one because stuff changes)~~ going new with this one per poll/comments
Contracts (not sure)
Crim (no idea)
Torts (heard this changes too, but what do I know)

What do you think

Which E&E's are you talking about? I have heard Glannon's E&Es are good for Civ Pro and Torts. What about contracts and crim?

Old E&Es aren't going to hurt, although you're right that Civ Pro certainly changes a lot. If any of them, that would be the one to get a recent E&E for. How old are the ones you're thinking about buying?

Second-most recent is all it takes for the price to drop drastically, so that. Any idea about the other subjects?

You'll be fine. The advantage of E&Es isn't in being up-to-date, IMO, but rather that you learn to see problems and solutions better.

You'll be perfectly fine with the older edition of the books for first year subjects.

I would get the newest version of Civ Pro but everything else is fine. Property hasn't really changed since the 1400's.

Thanks guys. Old it is for everything but Civ.

Definitely having some déjà vu about being a 0L asking derpy questions on here about LSAT stuff.
