Did I just spend the worst $250 of my life?

I just put down $250 for the barbri deposit CA, not primarily to lock in the price but more for the materials they give for 1L -3L.
Has anyone ever tried them? Are they any good?

Freer's Civ Pro lectures are golden (but only cost $50 outside if BarBri)

Many bar prep courses will credit the deposit you placed on another course up to $250.00.

do firms reimburse this money? cause if so and you go to a T10, then yeah, it was probably wasteful

Biggest waste of money I've ever spent.
I stopped going to class and using any of their materials (except the conviser--that thing is good) after a few weeks.

Ya I mean you're going to spend the money later anyways. I found the materials useful for torts (b/c my torts prof was useless).

You can buy all of the Barbri materials for, I think, $250. And then you can return it and get your money back, I think.
It's ridiculous that it costs $4k for lectures where they repeat a written outline verbatim, grade your essays unnecessarily harshly, and make you feel like you need to prep 100x more than necessary.

I've spent $200 at Forever 21 before, so I think I have you beat.
Besides, I know that at least with Kaplan, they'll credit you for whatever you put down with one of the other bar prep companies.

Firms will not reimburse but barbri gives it back after the close if you turn in your books.

I did not find Barbri's materials to be helpful for 1L. They give you a massive book that has outlines for all the doctrinal subjects, but its not keyed to any casebook, so its kind of useless.
