Top Law Schools

I applied to law school with a history degree, but that was after a school transfer/major switch. How difficult, or rather how time consuming, would it be to go to school and finish the degree? Would it be worth the time/money?
Currently a median/below median 1L at a T60, good connections + want to work in government if nothing "better" presents itself.
