I'm 0L so this could be completely off but I think most schools have a median around that range. At least a majority of the ones I have looked into.

My school is between a 2.9-3.1 for every class, 1L year. The mean averages around a 3.05 it seems. However, I'm not at a t-14 (it's in the 30s).

While I agree it could possibly be a disadvantage to an employer who knows nothing about your school, the markets nearby the school certainly know where our average GPAs settle. I suppose even for a more foreign employer, it would only take a minute of research on our school's website, if they were truly curious.

Edit: Plus, including your class rank pretty much makes this point slightly moot, I would think.

Dude, why are you posting this info at all? There's a reason why the school doesn't disclose this shit.

Sorry, I didn't mean that to come off personally. People in general should just keep in mind that that info isn't disclosed in order to help people hovering around median.

well its usually easier to find out top 10% then it is to find median. so assuming employers know what top 10% is and u are around there, median becomes less important, so it would affect u less than the people around median if emplyers found out the median number is higher then they thought
