What are some strategies on doing well on policy questions in crim law, property, contracts, and administrative law?

For crim, read Dressler. He gives the policy rationale behind things.

Simple: treat the question like you would an issue spotter, and make as many arguments and counterarguments as possible. Those things are worth points, restating policies or talking about your feelings with respect to the law are not.
