Intern with Texas Supreme Court justice or federal judge?

For those of you Texans with experience, I was wondering if anyone could comment on which one is preferable in terms of meaningfulness, learning potential, interestingness, prestige, etc.
I know at the end of the day it doesn't really matter so long as you do something 1L summer, but I was wondering if there were significant differences in terms of the experience itself. Thanks.
My State Supreme Court experience was great; however, the scope of issues was really narrow in comparison to what you would see in a district court.
