I'd say you're doing better than about half but worse than about half. But that's just a guess.

total or per year? my inkling is that median isn't lost yet, you should stick out the 2nd semester and see if you can move up the ladder a bit.

If you went to law school on a whim and were hoping to land a comfortable salary at a large firm, you should drop out of law school immediately. If your goals are more particular, you should work towards them and try to do better this semester.

Are all your grades back yet? Care to divulge your score?
edit: T1 in NY is a dead giveaway. If it was CLS or NYU, you'd say T14. If it's Dozo or Brooklyn, that's T2. If it's not one of those /self

Grades can change a lot 2nd semester. I would stay through 1L and probably go through the 1L job search and OCI. I know someone who was exactly median after 1st semester and ended up close to the top quarter. Its possible. Try to figure out what you did wrong and talk to upper clansmen/others who did well about how you can do better. (If you are not familiar with LEEWs, it is not a bad place to start, but dont stop there).
