pass/failing classes

Post by whatchoicetomake » Sun Dec 23, 2012 9:45 am

At my school, we can elect to take two classes pass/fail. I plan on taking fed courts pass fail (4 credits, tends to be the top of the class who takes it).

For the second class, which of the following would you take pass/fail if all things we equal. Assume the grade distribution is basically the same. Note also that my school rarely fails anyone. One person failed a class all of last year.

Corportaions/Business Organizations
Securities Regulations
Bankruptcy
Any writing course

2L and 3L grades either don't matter, or if they do your pass/fail courses are going to look bad on your transcript.

I think tax related courses are often popular "pass/fail" courses at many schools!

Have upcoming SA. Currently well within the top 10% of my school. Want to stay there with as little work as possible knowing that I will have the rest of my life to work. Besides, graduating magna makes no distinction on how many p/f classes one takes.

On another note, after my first job, will any future job actually look through my transcript? I figured if grades mattered, it would be only the GPA

Why would you take Fed Courts pass fail? If you want to clerk that looks terrible. IF you don't want to clerk, why take it?

It is a 4 credit class, take home exam. So double bonus. One more credit than the typical class, plus a take home exam should mean I can skip the class most days.
