anyone has it? my criminal professor can't teach and i am totally lost in that class. please help lol thx

I used his supplement and it's one of the few A's I've received in law school. But I also had Dressler's casebook. Not sure how much that helped.

If someone has actually outlined the entire book, I'm impressed and disturbed.

The usefulness of dressler really depends on your professor. You would have definitely gotten a B- in my crimlaw class if you relied on any supplement, including Dressler. If your teacher specifically recommended dressler, I would recommend looking at the syllabus, and reading corresponding sections in Dressler, and creating your own outline by using your notes (and maybe a friend's notes?) as clarified by Dressler. If you don't have time for that, maybe start with old outlines?

No offense, but if you're seriously so lost that you're looking for an outline of a hornbook, you should have started panicking much earlier. In any case, I wish you luck-- there is (probably) still time, and I know people who have pulled off very strong grades starting from scratch with less time to prepare.

i cannot explain how ridiculously that professor taught that class. It was impossible to follow through the lecture without being confused or wanting to fall asleep (as exciting as the topics were), let alone take notes. I did not know the usefulness of supplements so it is somewhat my fault.

if it helps, he just wants us to understand the common law and MPC of the topics (murder, self-defense etc...)

Dude just read the sections. They are not that long, do not read the ones you do not need to know, and Dressler gives the MPC their own little section so it is easily split into two parts.

Here' is an outline of the hornbook...I just read on here that Dressler's BLL outline is good in that it breaks down and compares the common law and MPC for each section.

Last edit: I agree that you should probably read the relevant parts of the hornbook as well- shouldn't take you too long

again, I'd suggest trying to find old outlines. Your school should have a database for old outlines. If you're desperate, you can look at places like outline depot. Just read through the relevant dressler sections, then look through the old outlines you find to see which one seems to know what it's talking about, and then just alter it to better fit you/what you know.

I had a couple of truly ridiculous 1L professors so I feel your pain. Again, good luck.
