Quest bars are the bee's knees. Protein pancakes are tricky. Most recipes are horrid, but I like mixing two scoops of Rich Chocolate Dymatize Elite XT (dat dere peasant protein), an egg, half a tablespoon of olive oil, and just a little water. Sometimes a bit of Truvia. Mmm mmm.brotherdarkness wrote:As for making gains, I bring a big lunch with me to campus and keep a box of Quest bars in my locker. I need to get on the protein pancake train, though. but I just can't seem to give up my morning bowl of proats.MauriceGains wrote:I can't speak for Bronck, but I prefer working at home because (A) I'm trying to make me some gains, and the school cafeteria refuses to stock Dymatize pancakes, (B) I'm more comfortable at home, with only a dog and girlfriend in the house and not a bunch of peskies buzzing about, and (C) I can take entertainment breaks as needed. All of these, I suppose, are personal, and I wouldn't argue that there's one right way to work or study.PinkLotus wrote:Why not?Bronck wrote:I vow to never do work in the library.

I'm terrified that my booking Ks last semester was just a fluke and that I'm just a mediocre student (other grades were blah).

You did it before, you can do it again.
Think of how much more you know now than you did six weeks into your first semester.
Keep the faith.
And CSWS.

4 credits is pretty significant. You don't want to end up like Robert Paulson.Robert Paulson wrote:Someone tell me 4 credits is negligible, so I can bs the rest of this brief.

thank god for my school only giving it 1.5 a semester. i calculated itll only move my gpa .01 or .02 depending away from my overall average with each letter grade it gets away from my cumulative avg.MauriceGains wrote:1. Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
It is slowly coming to me that I am not 100% sure what I am doing. Today while I was reading K's, it sorta hit me that I am not doing something right. . . . gotta get that grind on and figure how out to fix my mistakes from last semester without reinforcing what I did before.

Agreed. Preliminary statement, thesis paragraph, and then argument all saying this motion should be approved/denied for the same reasons.Bronck wrote:Is it just me or are briefs repetitive as fuck?

Seriously. My first page of the argument is literally repeating the same thing over and over again. And I'm just basing it off of the sample they gave us. Maybe it's a lot easier to kill off a lot of pages than I thoughtRobert Paulson wrote:Agreed. the motion and memorandum I had to write a couple weeks ago felt like I had copied and pasted the same paragraph repeatedly to fill up the page limitBlumpbeef wrote:Oh good so I'm doing it right.Robert Paulson wrote:Agreed. I use a bunch of section headings to make specific arguments, so they don't overlap as much. That said, the arguments are still interrelated.stillwater wrote:the motion and memorandum I had to write a couple weeks ago felt like I had copied and pasted the same paragraph repeatedly to fill up the page limitBlumpbeef wrote:Oh good so I'm doing it right.Robert Paulson wrote:Agreed.
