Abbreviations on exams

My understanding is that abbreviations of names is okay. But what about other words? Okay or not okay? For example, jx for jurisdiction or PJ for personal jurisdiction.

If its a common abbreviation like that its definitely ok. if in doubt you can always define the abbreviation the first time you use it. I'm sure there will be some anecdote about a professor from hell who deducted points for every abbreviation, but in my experience stuff like PJ, SMJ, jdx, etc is fine

Or just ask your prof if this is okay.
