I have seen this thrown around here a million times and I get the basic gist of it: read practice exams, study the syllabus, etc. However, I was wondering if anyone had any personal anecdotes or strategies on how they effectively figured out what there professor wanted or, better yet, what would be on the exam.
I am trying to sort through all the note parts in my casebook (especially torts) and determine wtf is relevant and what isn't.
Any help would be appreciated from me, and any other 1L that might read this thread.

Does your school have a database with past exams? Check the library site or something.

Also, ask your professor. I already have a very solid sense of what to expect just because I asked.

When do you ask and how do you go about it? Just ask outright? Or ask individual questions? (spot the issues, policy, MC, point system, etc)InGoodFaith wrote:Also, ask your professor. I already have a very solid sense of what to expect just because I asked.

It's been a question here and there weaved into their lectures and a couple after class to clarify.noleknight16 wrote:When do you ask and how do you go about it? Just ask outright?
