I don't own any yet for these two classes, and I'm hoping you can advise me on ONE E&E or hornbook or other supplement for these two classes.

Contracts I'm using Knapp, Crystal, and Prince, 7th edition.
Criminal law I'm using this casebook my professor, Cynthia Lee (GW) wrote.

Understanding Criminal Law is generally the accepted one - but that's because most people use Dressler's casebook. If you're not using his casebook, ask your professor.

The Ks E&E isn't horrible, but you're not using Blum for added advantage. If you're in a UCC heavy class, don't get the E&E. Common law favors the E&E.

I suggest, first and foremost, that you find out if your casebook author has written a hornbook or a supplement. If so, get that. Fin.

If not, Chirelstein is the common response for Contracts. Dressler is the common response for Crim Law

If you don't want to get Chirelstein, in favor of an outline-form supplement, go with Emmanuel or Glannon. You'll need to focus in on black letter law so those should be fine. (I agree with the above poster, the Contracts E&E isn't great. Probably not worth it)

Dressler for crim, even if you're not using his casebook.
