Is it better to be on a secondary journal that interests you or something that is relevant to future employment? Does it even matter?

A thousand times this. No one differentiates between secondaries.goodolgil wrote:Pick the one that's the least work.
Disagree heartily, brothers. I recommend using the following website to figure out which journal you should join. Of course, because law school is 100% based on credential and PREFTIGE, you should aim to get on the most PREFTIGOUS journal.kalvano wrote:A thousand times this. Whichever one publishes less. Mine only publishes 3 times a year and it's glorious.drmguy wrote:Interested in finance for green tech. The two with overlap are a business law journal and an ecology journal.

I think my two choices have a 1 hr./week time commitment.shock259 wrote:No idea. I'm actually considering dropping my secondary journal since EIP is over (and it was successful). I'm also not convinced that a secondary journal will actually improve my writing. And it's a huge time sink.
Hmmm.

There's TLS rumors that your employers get notified if you drop out of LR/journal.. or at the very least it'll show up on your transcript, which your firm will find out about when they ask for it at the end of 2L summer. I would imagine this rumor is grounded in some sort of reality, so you might want to look into that first.shock259 wrote:No idea.
