I've removed the content of my post in case I decide to explain my situation. I realize I didn't leave much time for responses, but thank you to those who contacted me.

I just retired from a 22-year career as a prosecutor. I have never felt that law review was a particularly impressive credential for this career path. Obviously, good writing is important, and good grades (not necessarily top of class) are important, but more important than law review are relevant clinical experience; demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, public service; maturity and the ability to exercise good judgment. I wouldn't stress over losing out on law review--it will give you more time to do other things that will be more helpful in the long run.

I'm very sorry for your loss--the family one. Don't sweat the law review stuff.
