Anyone know of anything less expensive for mailing application envelopes? USPS has First Class mail, but that's about $1.80 an envelope, which adds up pretty damn quick. Anyone know of anything similarly reliable but cheaper?

For applying to law firms? Email is pretty cheap. Is email not recommended for sending applications?

Judicial clerkships. Most states have yet to catch up to the newfangled Internet.

When I was soliciting for judicial internships, I just used stamps and regular mail. That's $.45 per mailing, I think. Considering I mailed out a few hundred of them, it was still expensive, but it wasn't horrendous. I was only including a cover letter, though. I'm guessing your applications won't fit into a regular envelope?

No, it has to be a packet. Writing sample, resume, cover letter, and sealed LOR's.
