I keep searching these forums and the internet and can't get straight answers - what is the cutoff for UT's Law Review? This "no-ranking" policy is getting aggravating. And what is the proportion of essay grade to grades in the 40 "grade-on" positions? Such information is widely available at other schools.

10 spots are reserved for the best entries in the write on competition, regardless of grades. The remaining 40 spots are allocated by a combination of the written submission in the competition and 1L grades (even if an applicant is a rising 3L)

If by "grade-on" spots you mean spots given solely on the basis of 1L grades, there are none.
