I know NYU gives cum laude to top-25%, but anyone have any idea what GPA this has translated to in the past? Input from recent graduates who were around the 3.5-3.6 range and whether you received cum laude would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Isn't McKay top 25% after 2L? So thats probably a good guide if you got that. At a guess I'd say 3.5 for top 25% is probably good, since thats top 1/3 after 1L, and it probably goes up a bit after not all classes are curved. The only barometer I have is that a friend w a 3.75 got magna last year.

it goes up a lot since 1L. 3.58 or so is cum laude territory, i understand.

Has anyone received any word on latin honors at NYU Law? I had a 3.64 final GPA and thought that would be a shoe-in for cum laude, but I haven't heard anything yet =(
