Some of us have no chance to even participate in the competition. You have that chance...seize it!

It could be worse.

You could have to thoroughly read that godforsaken packet and grade every single submission plus an edit on. *headdesk*

Don't most schools allow write on regardless of grades?

My school saves all but 5 or so spots for the top 10% kids. Those 5 or so spots are only there cause some kids from the top transfer. So yeah, you have about 100 kids battling for those 5 spots. Another catch is there is a minimum class rank cut off to even try for those 5 or so spots, and it isn't low.

This is how I'm going to act when I get onto law review:

Except I'll be crying because I'm sad, not because I'm happy.

If you write on, you'll spend your entire 2L year slavishly bluebooking citations and toiling over a gigantic paper that nobody will care about, and all for basically nothing. Good luck! :)

Right now I'm not motivated to do the write-on cuz I was accepted into Moot Court. Do you guys think it's worth doing the write-on for a chance at an acceptance into law review?

Just got my write-on packet. They told us it would be between 200-300 pages. It's 413 pages. Sigh....

Of course. Moot court is not on the same level as law review

I would motoboat my face in a pile of dung for any increased chance of employment. Bluebooking around the clock is the least of my worries...

It's basically your financial future at stake...if you need more motivation than that, you might want to see a shrink.
