You call him professor, especially if he is no longer a judge.

If he's a retired judge, than either "judge" or "professor" seems appropriate; but if became a professor after losing a bid for re-election, then "professor" seems more appropriate.

I'll just go with Judge, probably wouldn't be too smart of me to go based off what someone here said anyway. No one's ever been insulted by you giving them too much respect

I just call them professor (same with the dean emeriti that teach some classes here). It is their current role.

If you had a judge retired from the military after 22 years and then got a bench, you wouldn't call him Colonel, would you? Nah, you'd call him your honor or judge.
