Write-on During Summer Job?

I'm going to be clerking at a firm first half of the summer, but I really want to participate in the journal write-on competition (Grade-on is unfortunately not an option).
I got an A in legal writing last semester, so, ordinarily, I'd feel pretty confident in my ability to write on, but I'm apprehensive about having to balance a FT job and the competition.
Anyone have experience with this or tried it? What result?

I did that and it sucked. Make good use of your weekend(s) and you should be ok. I wrote on to law review

Pretty much everyone.

If the write-on period is short (such as just a few days), then it might cause a problem, but if you have a couple of weeks, you should be fine. Most people have to face this. A few of my friends did the write-on while working full-time and taking a full summer class load (4 nights a week).

Write-on isn't a big deal. Most people do it while they're working. You can totally knock it out in a weekend.

Brilliant. Great to see I'm in good company then.
