Only if it saves a significant amount of space. See Rule B7.2 (page 21 in Bluebook, 19th Edition.)

This rule is frequently ignored, even in otherwise perfectly Bluebooked documents. Not saying you necessarily should, but maybe ask your professor.

Good to know, so if I'm citing to the record I would want to use R. at _ every time?

Can you use Id. when referencing to the same affidavit? Forum
