Any advice for someone in a top 100 school who finished his first semester 86/150 with a 3.05

How much are you paying? Do you have experience or connections? Can you go back to an old job? Will you lose your "scholarship"? Is there any chance you will get a job ?
Do you have any idea why you had such a tough semester- is it something you can fix?
If you are paying sticker- you shouldn't continue. Even if you are independently wealthy - you would still be wasting time. If you aren't independently wealthy, the chances you will make enough to pay back your loans and to live are very remote. Because you will be paying back the loans whether you ever get a job or not, you should get out now. ( and so should everyone below you - which is a large amount of your class.)

No i pay 8k a year with scholarships...i wont lose them unless I go below 2.0

What do you mean by any advice? You tryna get tips on how to do better? Or do you want to know that it helps to add a little milk to the eggs to make omelettes fluffier?

You have a long slog ahead. If you feel you can find a job earning 40k now I would take it and drop out because that's what you'll make 3 years down the road in law anyway

Don't be lied to! People here on TLS are crazy. Each class has to have people who are below median! And those people get jobs too. I know quite a few below median people with V30 jobs. And some from not so great schools (ranked in the 30s and not URMs). So there! Just do your best and let the rest sort itself out.

In terms of meaningful jobs, your odds are terrible. You will definitely be starting on the low end of the legal job spectrum, if you even find permanent JD required work at all. I would only continue if being a lawyer is your dream job AND you are going to school for cheap. You could get a retail job or a management job at like a video store for the kind of pay you're looking at, and without the debt. Sure, you could be an exception, but sub-median at a t100 is usually going to be un- or underemployment

Many hiring partners (the few actual lawyers who understand law student hiring) would advise dropping out in OPs position. Current law students and recent grads too. In terms of advice I guess I mean all of the above...I guess my question is if I do better in future semesters does it make a difference....I will graduate with 0 debt

It depends if you want to be a lawyer. I bet that more than anything means long term success in the legal industry. Most professionally and financially successful lawyers I know went to the local TTT (or maybe fourth tier). There might not be a financial reason to stay but if you would be happy in the profession you should probably stick it out unless there is something else that you have more passion about.

at 8k a year id turn the next 2.5 years into an extension of the party in undergrad and still get the degree.. in fact that might be what i do if grades ever get released

In all seriousness, drop out.
The sole exception is if you are patent bar eligible. That is the only way I could see you continuing a legal career with those 1L fall semester grades.

If you want to be a lawyer then 8k a year is not a big gamble. I say work harder and finish it off.
