What's the difference between editions of E&E's?

I see on Amazon I can get the fourth edition of the contracts E&E for under $5, yet the 5th edition costs $40. I see similar price differences for the criminal law and con law books. How much of a difference is there between the next editions?

Buy the old one. Nothing significant has changed in either on in the last 5 years. The only 1L class I would say to buy the newer one for is Civ Pro.
edit: Maybe the new conlaw one also.

Buy the older one. The contracts E&E is helpful, but its not the best.

just make sure you get the newest version of the Civ Pro ones. Lots of new stuff there.

I think there might be a few changes due to that one state supreme court's cases being invalidated (only in the eyes of scholars of course). I forget which state it was though.

You still spend a significant amount of time in Contracts on cases decided around 1500. I think the older edition will be fine.

Buy older editions across the board in everything except civ pro. I spent about 5 or 6 bucks per E&E since I bought old editions, and I got a ton of good use out of them.
