Totally messed up my crim final yesterday. It was 25 multiple choice questions and then 1 essay. The MC was out of 100 points and the essay was 25 points, which surprised me. Anyway, I switched 3 right answers to the wrong answers, and who knows what else I got wrong. I haven't stopped thinking about it and woke up at 5 this morning because of having anxiety from it that I am probably going to get a C in the class now, when I thought this was the class I could do the best in. Just wondering how other people deal with their anxiety post exam?

Whenever you start obsessing about it, force yourself to think about happy outcomes.

I thought this was going to be about staying calm during the exam itself. But after? Do something to distract yourself and to keep your mind clear. And if your mind reverts back to the test, don't dwell on it because the nature of the curve means that you have no idea what your grade will be. So no reason worrying that you may have gotten a C, when the curve might turn around and hand you a B, even for a crappy submission.

Mind games suck. But it's good to know that other people are stuck in them too.

You should probably go over your outline again and again to ensure that the answers you gave were the correct ones.
The more you think about it the more likely it will be that you got the right answer and at some point the answers will magically turn to the right one.
Basically the more you think about it the more likely it is to help the answers that you already submitted.

Rub one out, take a shot, an move on to the next exam / apply for summer jobs.
I'd also like to put things in perspective. I had a prof enter my grade as a C when I earned a B+. While that sucked, it is good to clarify what I really wanted to do with my law degree. Even if you think it is now, biglaw probably isn't what you really want to do other than as a way to pay your loans back quickly. So if you get a C, congrats: you are now free to do what you really want instead of chasing the dollah billz.
Also, depending on the school, you don't need to beat a hell of a lot of people to get to a B-. Relax mahn.

Start smoking. The best case scenario is you'll get cancer but feel mellow, and the worst is you'll have to continue with 2.5 more years of law school.

Sorry to hear! I think we all got through this at one point. I know I have been obsessing about a wrong answer on my Contracts exam this week. I think we just have to stay positive, remember that a bad grade (if it occurs) won't destroy us, learn from our mistakes, and remind ourselves that many other people also make mistakes. Someone also mentioned beta blockers... I found propanolol 10 mg crucial for staying calm before and during the exam, but I'm not sure if that is going to work after the fact (it prevents panic attacks by keeping your heart rate steady).

while it might not destroy you, it may severely inhibit your job prospects depending on your goals. im just saying... (and speaking from experience)
booze, smoking, and learning from your mistake are all key

that's a bunch of bullshit
One to two beers would not cause any of those effects in a normal human, getting blacked out drunk however, would definitely cause more troubles than is worth
