Lets hypothetically say you fail out.
Can you apply to schools again and go to law school in a year or two? Or are you barred for life
This is just hypothetical, out of curiosity

I just finished exams. This is more than hypothetical to me at the moment.

if you did so poorly as to fail out of law school, there is absolutely no reason to ever try it again
answer to the question is irrelevant

You almost certainly didn't fail, unless you're at a TTT school. If they fail you out, they can't collect more tuition from you.
I thought I failed my Property I exam. I was convinced I did. It was not my best grade (actually my worst), but it was not failing, at all.

I don't think I studied much at all this semester (well, I did, but certainly didn't THINK about things and make connections the way I should have; nor did I pay much attention in class), so I'm a little worried.
My scholarship is based on a 2.00 GPA after each year (but if I have to re-take a class, this might be an issue, no?)
I'm at Temple. Any reason to think they'd fail someone out?

You probably ought to find that out and go from there. If they curve to a 2.0, you'll probably lose your scholarship, thought that would be an insane curve.

No, no... the curve is definitely between 3.0 and 3.1

You probably won't "fail out" in the sense that they will kick you out of school and stop taking your money, but if you get below median you should probably consider yourself failed out and just move on.

Man, if you get anywhere near a 2.00 at Temple the school is doing you a favor by taking your scolly and showing you the door.

My legal writing instructor thought he did so poorly on a test that he actually apologized to the professor afterwards.
He booked the course.

TBH, your professors are probably smarter than you.

Would love to know which professor inspired this fear.

You know, I'm interested in this as well... I thought I royally screwed the pooch on my torts exam, but I in no way thought I FAILED the thing (I'm just certain to get curved-out because I didn't finish the last sub-question and missed a few softball points in an act of pure idiocy). You'd have to try pretty damn hard to actually FAIL an exam here (I believe one of my profs said they had only ever failed one person, and that was because they didn't come to class and it was clear they had absolutely no idea what they were saying on the final). If your scholly really does only require a 2.0 you're not gonna lose it without some serious issues.
Bust your ass on your last exam. Bust your ass next semester for grades. Bust your ass over break looking for a job (hey its possible someone will take you on without looking at your first semester grades if they like you personally or *hint* your overall level of motivation). Just bust your ass in general from here on out. You cant change a thing about what already happened, but you can certainly change what happens in the future.
I'm still interested in finding out what exam/prof caused this level of doubt and terror...for science!

As a Temple 2L, I totally agree with this.

You are barred for life if you fail out.
