So our civ pro exam is gonna be "easy" in the sense that our prof. teaches everything at a super basic level. We aren't even responsible for joinder issues, and his past tests are super straightforward issue spotters.

Anyone have advice for this? I basically see everyone in my class having exactly the same answers...

Identify more issues. Then analyze them in a better way than your classmates. HTH.

Roadmap, triple check for missed issues, and make creative arguments. If you make creative arguments, remember to argue against the creative argument as well.

Best thing is to cut out articles from the latest Hustler. Cross out every name and replace them with Pennoyer and Neff.

This is exactly how I feel about the Crim final we had, except I'm pretty sure the MC will be the ultimate decider of A's and B's, since the essay was a short issue spotter (like 4 sentences long) and way too straightforward for my comfort.

Man, they can be the worst because the curve is so tight.

Sabotage. If you can't beat the test, beat your classmates. Fire drills, stolen battery cords, flashy distracting attire + musk. Caltrops in the parking lot. Create fake family emergencies for the people who have that smart, good-at-applying-laws-to-facts glint in their eyes. Poison the water fountain. Break all of the bathrooms 10 minutes into the test. Jam the printers in the library the day before.

If somebody is especially threatening, "deal with them" directly.

Read Getting to Maybe. Some good examples of good, great, and excellent answers to simple questions in there. Hit both sides of it, look for creative and counter-intuitive conclusions (minority of the time, not majority of the time on this).
