ExamSoft touchpad problem
No one IRL I've talked to has been able to help with this, so I turn to the wisdom of TLS.
Examsoft reboots my computer into safe mode. This has the effect of enabling the tap to click option on my touchpad. I can't have that setting on, because my thumbs touch the pad and I click all over the place. I've uninstalled my touchpad drivers (because I have an external mouse), and safe mode magically finds them and reinstalls them or something.
Ideas?

Can you disable the touchpad altogether in the BIOS and use an external mouse?0LNewbie wrote:No one IRL I've talked to has been able to help with this, so I turn to the wisdom of TLS.

Is it possible to disable it in BIOS? That's what I'm looking for guidance on.

Have you tried booting into the BIOS and checking?
Edit: Fn+F10 supposedly disables the trackpad altogether. Does that work in safe mode? If so, just use external.

If all else fails, consider getting an external USB mouse.

Re: ExamSoft touchpad problem
I actually downloaded Synaptics Pointing Device to keep my laptop from doing the same in normal usage. When I took my exam with ExamSoft I didn't notice it clicking around at all. It would have misclicked atleast 20 times the way I type.
My life is so much simplier since downloading Synaptics.
