Civ Pro. Closed book final. Assume Fed. jurisdiction. Straightforward issue spotter.

It would be too much to memorize cold every rule we do. Is there a supplement or resource that paraphrases the rules in a way that makes memorization easier?

I think, in 1L Civ Pro, it's fairly safe to assume "federal jurisdiction."

Also, E&E and Glannon Guide. Go forth and conquer.

Work through a lot of hypos. I didn't even try to memorize since ours wasn't closed book (who does that anyhow) but I still remember all of the major ones from last year...

I had a closed book final last year for civ pro. i just made flash cards.

Seriously this is like the 4th person on this site who has said their civ pro was closed everything. I could see closed note, but to not allow students at least the rules pamphlet is just bad teaching.

I should clarify that I was in a year-long civ pro class and the first semester only covered jurisdiction, removal, transfer, FNC, all that junk. Mostly it was the statute sections to be able to recall on the fly.

The ins-and-outs was second semester, where we were thankfully allowed to have our rulebook.

we're allowed our rule book and we can write anything we want to inside of it.. i now consider myself very lucky. good luck!

Civ Pro I we were allowed a rule book only with nothing written inside. We had to fight just to tab it! Every class I've had except Crim was and is closed book. Flash cards are the only way to go.
