i have a professor who isn't teaching. at all. torts. i guess i'm thankful she isn't teaching contracts or property or something but what should i do? has anyone been in this position?

e&e it in addition to the case readings? go to her office hours to talk about how the exam will be structured and just pray? this is her first teaching job, and she has no sample exams.

I'm in the same boat. 2 of my professors are new. 1 doesn't teach the traditional curriculum (just what he's interested in.)

The good news: You fellow classmates will be even more confused than you. Make sure you know the BLL and follow what you've said.

The no sample thing is annoying. All 3 of my professors have a combined sample exam total of 2! Good luck

yeah, she's real cool and nice and everything but i just became worried because she started inserting hypos in class that were directly from the e&e's... there's just a lot at stake.

Do we have the same professor? I have the same problems with my torts professor...

Do we have the same professor? I have the same problems with my torts professor...

My contract professor also is new!!!!! He started inserting hypos in class that were directly from the e&e's... too!!!!!

if they start inserting hypos from the E and E's- make sure to understand them.... ( maybe its a hint?)

Good lawyers do not necessarily make good teachers. Buy E&E and a couple of extra supplements like Exam Pro or Seigle's. There is also plenty on the internet. Then spend your time in class studying on your own. If you are on a specific tort, go to your state's judicial website and search for recent cases on that issue. You need to sign on to your state's bar association as a student if they allow it and start getting the newsletter. It will give you any important cases being decided in your state and you will probably see some of them on the bar.

+1 on the e&e's. Had the same situation and did well in the class just by relying on e&e's. Another thing you might want to check is that some new profs will rely heavily on the "curriculum" of a professor who used to teach that course particularly 1L classes and survey courses (why reinvent the wheel?). If you find the class tracking very closely with some old outlines posted from your school, then you might want to really reference those old outlines as well.
