How do you study for these? CivPro, I don't feel like I learn any rules from cases (at least not yet)...

And for ConLaw, I keep getting confused because every other case judges are making up rules...

The E&E is the right call here. I have the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures as well, but the E&E is saving my life. It seriously makes things so much easier.

edit: I don't have Con law until next year, so I have nothing to say about it.

Anybody recommend the Friedenthal hornbook for Civ Pro? My prof really emphasizes the "fair play and substantial justice" part of Intl Shoe test, but that's not covered very well in the E&E.

You shouldn't replace paying attention to your professor's views with the E&E or any hornbook

Agreed. I was just wondering how much more detail the hornbook provides than the E&E.

Isn't the FPSJ part the one that breaks off and becomes a different test two or three cases later? Could be why it isn't covered with Int'l Shoe.

Yeah I think I remember from last week-once you get to World Wide Volkswagen you get that five factor test. And then there's the Burger King case. Just look it up in the index I guess.

Chemerinsky supplement is a must for con law...basically replaces the casebook

freer is the best hornbook there is on civ pro. it kills friedenthal, imo.

it's more recent, is better indexed and outlined, and clearer to read, imo.
