Westlaw/Lexis Free Stuff Thread
What's the best way to maximize points on Westlaw and Lexis? Any particular rewards people are saving for?

Go to the on campus tutorials for Lexis Nexis and answer questions to get free points. Also, if you can set your computer up to sit through a webinar then you'll get points that way. I had a ton of Lexis points which I used this summer for free food. =)

awesome idea for thread. Does anyone know if we get points for just searching cases? One night, I got points after searching cases, but another night, I didn't get anything.

You get points for each day you use it. Usually they each do like triple points at some point or another as well.

The research points can take up to two or three weeks to post to your account. On the flip side, the tutorial I completed netted me 400 points right away.target wrote:awesome idea for thread. I have been logging on every day and doing research, but have only seen one days worth of points as a result, thus far.

On Lexis if you go to Check Your Correct Balance here it will take you to the rewards page. On the rewards page click my rewards account. Scrolling down you should see a drop box with months and years. At the top of it, currently it says the following:target wrote:thanks for the info. How do you know about the research points? Note about Lexis.com research completed August 13 to 19:
Research completed from August 13 to August 19 may take up to three weeks to be deposited into your account instead of the normal up to two weeks time frame. Thank you for using LexisNexis and have a great year!
