Top Law Schools

I've only done a cursory review of the content contained on the website "Law School Case Briefs." However, the content seems legitimate. Can anyone confirm the accuracy/credibility of the outlines and case briefs contain on this website?

well... my only question would be... why would you want someone else's case briefs? the whole point of briefing is for YOU to learn the case... 0L here though just giving my opinion after the first week of class.

I completely agree. Nonetheless, if I'm not sure about what a particular judge is trying to say, I think it is more efficient to consult another source. (Lawyers usually start with treatises and encyclopedias rather than going directly to the case law.)

Why not go to Lexis instead? I don't really care for/trust most brief sources

The website links to other websites that compile case briefs so I imagine the quality/completeness varies greatly on a case to case basis. I would not recommend relying heavily on these sources though, instead I think it would be better to refer to them after you have completed your reading in order to see if you missed anything someone else might have caught.

Personally, I use Lexis and a combination of casebriefs.com and Lawnix to create my case briefs. I generally read and brief the case in my casebook first, then use outside sources as a base to expand upon with my own notes.

I'm sure there are various other ways to go about briefing cases, and at the end of the day you should do what is most comfortable for you.

Briefing= Biggest 1L Waste of Time....if you are like me, you won't be briefing at all after the first three weeks

if you dont brief- do you get all of your information, learn the rules and how they apply from supplements and do Eand Es instead??

If you can find the case on the site, Lawnix has the best briefs.

I love case briefs from other individuals.... Basically it allows someone else to write just the facts maam for me... I'm in week three of law school and feel that the meat is in the rules/holdings of the cases..... Then again I'm a science geek who struggles with the fact that a prof can't give a straight answer to a question.... Which is why Law School is fantastic.

i'm a "science geek" too and similar to law but not to its extremes, there is rarely a straight answer in science either.
