Is it worth paying the extra $ for the updated Cherminsky Con Law? It's $70.

Credited. There are some recent cases, especially in abortion, that it'll be helpful to have the new edition for.AppsAbound wrote:If your con law class is like mine, you will cover a lot of more recent cases that are not addressed in the earlier edition. Friends of mine who bought the earlier one ended up borrowing the newer edition from classmates.

I found a brand new copy of the older edition for $30 shipped. So is it worth paying an extra $35 for the newer one?clint4law wrote:Is it worth paying the extra $ for the updated Cherminsky Con Law? It's $65.
That's what I was thinking...but I got burned in Civ Pro with Twombly and Iqbal.Oban wrote:There are even some cases we covered that aren't in the most recent edition. That said, the old book is fine and you can just get briefs/explanations of the newest cases on the intarwebs: Mcdonald v. Chicago, et al.
Thanks....you answered my question.beach_terror wrote:Why is this still being bumped? Pick one, buy it, pay attention during class and you'll be fine. The newer edition will be better up to date, and for 30$ more it's worth it IMO. For you it might not be, but it's up to you now.
If your prof is going to cover individual rights in your class or if you plan to take Con Law II, then it's probably worth it.beach_terror wrote:Why is this still being bumped?
