So after 1 week of contracts, I realized that it's going to be a long semester. Any ideas on supplements?
We are using the casebookCases And Comment (University Casebook) [Hardcover]
John P. Dawson (Author), William Burnett Harvey (Author), Stanley D. Henderson (Author), Douglas G. Baird (Author)

My contracts class uses that book and my professor highly recommends the following:

Had Dawson's book and bought Chirelstein. It fucking sucked. I'd recommend Acing Contracts instead. Chirelstein rambles way too much to learn anything from it. I used Acing Contracts and the Legalines for Ks and got an A.

I got the 5th edition for cheap. I don't think the 6th edition would be necessary, but it's your call.
I just started reading this yesterday and so far it has been fairly helpful for solidifying basic concepts.

My prof recommended Calamari and Perrillo.

I really liked the Law in a Flash cards for k's. It's basically a bunch of mini hypos, and I think they really help solidify concepts. As for books, I liked the Chirelstein for basic concepts and Farnsworth for specific questions.

You can get a used Siegle's Contracts for 12.00 at Amazon. It has multiple choice and essay so it is better for test prep
Siegles Contracts
For the basic concepts I agree with the Acing Contracts
ACING CONTRACTS
Here is a very good site with contracts flowcharts, mailbox rule etc.

Do you guys recommend paying extra $ to get the updated E&E? Any other supplement tips?

What the hell am I supposed to do with Hornbooks?
I have them for both Torts and Contracts... and while they give nice generalizations... we're grilled on specifics in class.
The hornbooks I have cite shit tons of cases.... Am I supposed to look up these cases?... Should I care about these cases?
Just an ignorant first year student here wondering...
KH, DDS, MBA

You are not alone. I wonder the same.

I used Chirelstein a lot, and Farnsworth a little. Also got an A. No real right answer here, though I'd recommend asking the professor what his recommendations are.

Nothing beats practice, IMO. That is why I strongly recommend the E & E and CALI lessons.

Chirelstein is TCR, but only if you have a competent professor.

The E&E for K's is excellent, imo. some find it a bit too detailed but detail counts. may not be as universally adored as glannon but still solid.

Since Contracts isn't like Con Law or Crim and doesn't have a universally agreed-upon supplement, the correct answer will depend largely on your professor and class materials. My professor taught contracts in a fairly nuanced way, so I went with the E&E for practice purposes. If your professor is more hide-the-ball, I'd go with what everyone else is saying and pick up a copy of Chirelstein to make sure you understand the core concepts.
