How/when would you use CALI lessons? As practice for the final?

As a 1L, I'm interested in this too.
I was planning on listening to them earlier in the semester, or at least throughout the semester since there are so many of them. But it's not like I have a clue about these things anyway.

Also, which ones are most useful? In my 1L Contracts class I'm looking for some clarity on expectancy vs. reliance damages (e.g., which is more appropriate for certain types of situations) but the lesson on damages is like 9 hours total. Any suggestions on how to filter?

I personally didn't find CALI lessons particularly helpful, mostly because of the fact that they are very difficult to filter... You end up wasting a significant amount of time learning extraneous material.

I found them a bit helpful. I know some people that used them for finals review, but I used them to help refresh my memory about halfway through the semester long after learning material but before the hardcore finals review.

They are EXTREMELY helpful, especially for 1L classes. I wouldn't begin to utilize them until about a month prior to your exam, however. I usually spent the semester working on my outlines/doing E & E stuff, while the latter part of the semester is the prime time to begin CALI lessons. (Note: None of my time was spent reading cases).

You know, I was dealing with exactly the same issue. Something about my particular professor makes it hard for me to follow him and I just wasnt getting the idea. I found the Sum and Substance Contracts lesson on Remedies helpful for my understanding. I am also checking out Life of a Law Student but some of those lessons seem to be dead.

some lessons are more helpful than others. For instance Cim and Torts was very useful while civil procedure was a colossal waste of time. I think it gives you an overview of the course, helpful, especially if you're a big picture person like myself.
