Yeah well that sucks to be him, but did he not do great at Miami? If I were anywhere close to median after 1L, I would have dropped out in a heartbeat. Thankfully, I did pretty fucking well.
Shit happens, I guess.
Maybe she had a job lined up and it fell through?

AMA will never get their hands dirty with the ABA; they don't know anything about law schools.
But maybe if the ABA is fired, the NALP can step in, and maybe they'll be better. Right now, almost anything would be better than the ABA.
This could happen before too long.....

Also, I made $10/hour in High School. Anyone who can't make more than that with two degrees sucks to start with.

Yup. It's why I don't buy into that bullshit. When I worked at the county courthouse I asked my supervisor how many applicants she got for each case management position (as entry-level as possible) @ $37k I believe, and she said 7-10 tops. Also, 4 got promoted in the 4 months I was there. That was last year at this time.

Why?
Both unranked(Well, FIU's now ranked 132. lulz), one costs 200k while the other costs 25k.
Hm, stiff competition right there.

FIU is an entirely different part of Florida, and neither school has a reach of more than 600 yards, so I doubt they're going to be stepping on each other's toes.

If one of Cooley's schools could get ranked in the tier one someway somehow, it would likely help the whole franchise as students would spend money happily to attend Cooley: Tampa, etc.

As if FIU and Cooley law grads can get a jerb in their respective law schools.

I would ask for girth. You can never go wrong with hip-splitting girth.

I doubt Florida has any shortage of students with terrible qualifications who would be willing to go deeply into debt for law school, judging by their 11 law schools (most of which are awful) that still have to turn people away.

Yeah, but they both attract minimally qualified individuals from across the country. Do you not understand supply and demand? You graduate undergrad, can barely pass the LSAT, and have been telling people you are going to lawschool, you might choose to go to Cooley Tampa versus FIU. Is that really unimaginable?
Like I said, if Cooley sold stock, it would actually be a good investment. Those people are expanding like shit.

I know people in FIU who got turned down by FIU Law because their LSAT was too low. It happens.

None of these schools have 100% acceptance rates so I'm sure they'll just accept more applicants if $ was an issue.

And Cooley will gladly pick up the slack. I bet Cooley Tampa will have mad sluts in attendance. Lord knows Cooley Lansing does....

I'm honestly bewildered as to what jobs anyone graduating from cooley tampa could possibly get except ones that are entirely dependent on nepotism. Tampa already only has like 60 legal jobs opening up a year for all 200 kids of stetson + UF/FSU and whoever else from any other school with contacts who wants one.

I guess I don't understand supply and demand.
Both schools have about equal credentials(unranked), but Cooley is a private institution(6-figure debt) vs. FIU which is a public institution(~30k, realistically. Minus any non-stipulated scholarships, of course.) This is a very tough position for a student accepted to both schools to decide on.

in response to FIU caring even if they were in the same part of florida.
