We get to pick our classes. This forum has been nice and quiet over the summer.
So, what did you choose?
I'm:
Evidence
Trial Advocacy
Federal Income Tax Clinic
Criminal Procedure I
Con Law II

Federal Courts
Remedies
Business Associations
LRW (again! one of the downsides for transferring. boo)
Would love some supplement suggestions too. I picked up the Evidence E&E before I transferred and what I got through looked pretty good

Criminal procedure
Fundamentals of Income Tax
Advanced Legal Writing
Bankruptcy
State & Multistate taxation
The idea is to schedule as many hard classes as I could, and somehow that will bring my gpa up. If I can pick up a class that I want, I'll be 10:30am to 8pm Tues-thurs

Isn't the idea to take as few classes as you can 2L Fall so you can concentrate on the job search? I'm taking the absolute minimum, and one of those classes is analogous to DF taking Mathematical Methods.

I mean, the only one of those that are considered a real doozy of a class is Income Tax. Also, having no class 3 weekdays (including a 4 day weekend) I think should make up for having an above average course load.

I took a summer class so I only have to take 4 classes this fall. And my Math class is on a quarter system, so it doesnt start til late Sept.

Our class lottery hasn't run yet, but if I get the schedule I want I'll have 3 days where I go to 2 classes, and 2 days where I go to 1. I may not have an expanded weekend, but there's strong potential for it to be breezy.

Fed Inc Tax
Business Associations
Secured Credit
Corp Governance
Upside: no classes on Fridays and no classes before 10:30
Downside: one of the classes only meets Thursday nights and has a mandatory attendance policy (1 absence = half a letter grade)— not sure how this will really limit any callback interviews i might get

We didn't bid yet either, but I'm aiming for unfilled classes.

Lol. Such a cynical approach to law school. I tip my hat.

This semesters class list succccks. It's 80% bullshit classes and 20% gunner shit.
There is also a very cool patent litigation class that I'd take, but it requires weekly assignments and I wanna focus on LOLCI not having to gun assignments (graded by adjuncts).
I was joking about my class list earlier. I'll probably take the math for lawyers, and evidence, but then pick some non curved bar classes or something.

I was signed up for Admin Law, but I think I'm dropping that. Only going 4 days a week, and nothing before 11:00. They won't apply scholarships to summer classes, so I didn't take any.

Wait. Is there literally a math class just for law students? I thought it was a business class or something. Can an engineer expect to set the curve because lawyers are terrible at math, or does NU accept too many engineers for that strategy to work?

It's a Kellogg class, so yea it's business. I doubt it's much beyond Stat 100 level math. The class is limited to 5 law students. I'm really confused about why this is a class.

We've got Quantitative Methods at UVA which is probably a similar class. It does seem like it's got some good material for people who will be involved in business, e.g. how to interpret statistical data that analysts generate. It's closed to people with advanced knowledge, though, which is a real bummer.

We have a quantitative reasoning class which is different.
