Been using these since high school. You could maybe make a pretty sweet gavel out of the ones that use metal instead of plastic, I guess.

Don't they hope that this will move us away from mass production into cheep customized production? Pretty badass if it could be done at a cost effective way.

But what kind of property implications could this have? If I were the producer of the wrench and if it became cost-effective, I'd be worried consumers only needed to buy one of my wrenches to supply an entire workforce.
It's not a replicator, dude. You put in a CAD drawing made with engineering software, and it spits out the part. It's insanely expensive right now, and "printing" with a metal that could be used structurally is a few steps past insanely expensive - most of them just put out flimsy plastic at this point.
