I'm curious about how relationships work out in Law school.

I mean, everyone would be so much busy (especially during 1L), but do people still date as much as they did in undergrad?

Or is it actually pretty rare to see law school couples?

I mean I guess it retains the I don't have to put in any effort and can just hit her up for sex whenever nature but exclusive fuck buddies has to be one of the dumbest concepts I've ever come across. My experience is that everyone is practically married and it's disgusting.

Meeting someone new just seems unlikely ones you start working.(Especially if you get into BigLaw)

But in seriousness, there's no reason you can't date in law school. It's almost necessary to keep your mind off your terrible 1L year.

And yes, this happens a lot. There are a surprising # of virgins in law school who don't understand how relationships work. It's also a strange mix of people -- one half of whom think they are in "professional" school and can't appear slutty and the other half of whom think law school is college 2.0.

My advice: go talk to the attractive girls before they a) gain 20 pounds in law school and b) shack up with some nerd they think will get a good job.

That said, there are also people who are ostensibly not dating and not exclusive where the girl just fumes silently and randomly blows up at the guy for having sex with someone else.

Yep. The firm threads usually have more useful info than TLS, even if the entire thread is mostly SPS, but I got sucked into lurking even when I don't need info b/c of the occasional genius flames.

Firm threads have had a pretty steep decline in value in the last two years on Xo. Too many of them are associates and have no clue about OCI anymore. If you ask for help you get 1/3 decent advice that you could get on TLS, 1/3 Flame, and 1/3 retarded advice. They'll say shit like you need to be top 20% at Cornell to have ANY shot at big law. It's retarded.

I used to think their opinion of TLS was too harsh. Because people on TLS constantly post that very few non t14 get big law, and that even in the t14 its about 50/50. And Xo made it seem like we thought the market was great.

However, I've noticed on several threads a large number of posters calling "flame" at unemployed T14 grads. Or being shocked that t14 grads are working doc review. It's this weird congnative dissonance where TSLers can quote NLJ250 data, but really don't consider that a lot t14 people really fuck up their careers.
